Summary List Columns:
The following are explanations for some of the less descriptive columns in the Summary List of Reporting Rules
Determinand Check
This column allows Taumata Arowai to limit how the parameter_determinand
field for a sample report can be utilised.
The following are the possible values and what they mean:
0 - No check implemented for this reporting line
1 - The parameter_determinand
field of any samples linked to this reporting line must be blank.
2 - The parameter_determinand
field of any samples associated with this reporting line must be filled in.
Unit Check
This column allows Taumata Arowai to limit how the unit
field for a sample report can be utilised. Acceptable units can be found in the units
column of the Parameters and Determinands dataset.
The following are the possible values and what they mean:
0 - No unit check
1 - Unit must match an acceptable unit for the parameter/determinand this reporting line represents.
Report Supply Level
This column indicates if the reporting line should be reported against a supply component or the supply itself. The following are the possible values and what they mean:
0 - The reporting line must be against a supply component and so the supply_component_id
must have a value
1 - The reporting line must be against a supply and so the supply_component_id
must be left blank.
Rule Applies
Some G and VP Reporting Rules are only required to be reported by supplies that are reporting against certain modules. This column allows Taumata Arowai to indicate which Rule Modules a reporting line is applicable to.
Sample Reporting
This column allows Taumata Arowai to indicate how a supply should report against a rule. This column is a guide only and isn't currently enforced. The following are the possible values and what they mean:
1 - This reporting line doesn't expect samples
2 - This reporting line DOES expect samples
3 - This reporting line can include samples
Reporting Rule ID - any samples associated with this Reporting Rule ID should instead be supplied against the indicated Reporting Rule ID.
Minimum Buildings
This column allows Taumata Arowai to indicate the minimum number of buildings this reporting line applies to when reporting against Self Supplied Buildings (See Footnote 23 in the DWQAR (opens in a new tab)).
Parameter Determinand Columns:
The following are explanations for some of the less descriptive columns in the Parameters and Determinands
ID
This column is a 3 or 4 character lower case identifier for each of the parameters and determinands that are reported under the DWQAR (opens in a new tab). The are utilised in the Reporting Rule IDs with a hypen as the following examples illustrate:
T3.1-fac
S3.3-anti
VSC.1-ecol
MAV Prefix
This column indcates the Maximum Acceptable Value as found in the referenced legal instrument listed in the Source
column
Value Prefix
This column relates directly to the value in MAV column and indicates how that value should be comparitively utilised. Possible values are <=
and <
.
Unit
This column relates directly to the value in MAV column and indicates the unit associated with the MAV value.
Units
This column indicates what are acceptable units when supplying reports to Taumata Arowai that are associated with the Parameter/Determinand on that row.
AV Value Min & AV Value Max
These column relate to the aesthetic values listed in the Aesthetic values for drinking water (opens in a new tab) publication.
